A commitment to complete cancer care in Telangana

Established in 1955 as the Radium Institute & Cancer Hospital and inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the MNJ Institute of Oncology was designated as a Regional Cancer Centre by the Government of India in 1996. Today, it serves as a 250-bed comprehensive tertiary cancer care centre, offering services not only to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh but also to neighbouring states. The institute is committed to providing complete treatment to patients, covering diagnosis, surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. Annually, it registers over 10,000 new cancer patients and conducts more than 1.5 lakh cancer-related investigations. Approximately 1,500 major surgeries and 1,000 minor surgeries are performed each year, with about 300 patients receiving radiotherapy and chemotherapy daily.
